GPG and Genflex have had the incredible fortune this year to give back so much to the community it has called home for 85 years. Soon the season will draw to a close.
On October 29, several GPG associates participated in the annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in Atlanta’s Piedmont Park. The day before at a pink pumpkin carving contest, and for several weeks prior, associates donated money in the company break room toward this important charity. Together the companies raised more than $500 to help discover a cure for this disease that affects so many.
GPG and Genflex will also spend the holiday collecting items to benefit the less fortunate members of our community. Until November 11, employees can contribute canned goods for the Children’s Restoration Network, a non-profit agency that has served homeless children and mothers in Atlanta for nearly 25 years.
The company will also collect used coats and blankets through December 9 to donate to the United Way in the Atlanta area. These coats and blankets will go toward those less fortunate in the area in order to stay warm during the winter. Additionally, GPG and Genflex will collect unwrapped toys for children in need in the area this holiday season to give to Toys for Tots.
All told, GPG and Genflex have contributed more than $5,000 to organizations in the community this year who help others in need, or are working to find cures for diseases that affect many worldwide.
GPG and Genflex wish you and your family a happy holiday season, and look forward to continuing this great tradition of giving next year.
